We’re leading a fun African drumming workshop for young children at the Royal Albert Hall on 18th June!

Our facilitator, acting as the Griot (West African storyteller), draws everyone into the traditional West African story by involving them as characters in the story playing authentic djembe drums and impersonating various animals from the region.

Music and humour are central to this workshop as the participants discover the surprising origin of djembe drums and are an essential part of the action throughout, which also includes some South African gumboot dancing!
